For nearly fifteen years, the
Śrīmad Bhāgavat Purāṇ
was my sacred companion — explored through the luminous discourses of Shri Venu Gopal Goswamiji. His kathās were like portals, bringing ancient truths alive.
But in 2022, a new chapter began.
When I connected with my Guruji, I kept hearing a quiet but consistent invitation:
“Read the Mahāshivpurāṇ.”
And so I did — with reverence, with effort… and growing confusion.
Working with a Sanskrit scholar in Benaras, I could understand the words of the original text, but I couldn’t find myself in them. The structure was overwhelming. The stories felt distant from my contemporay life. I wasn’t just missing comprehension —
I was missing connection.
It was then that this offering began.
Not as a project.
As a prayer.
A way to build a bridge — between sacred depth and modern clarity.
Between ancient scripture and the soul of today’s seeker.
Not a summary. Not a commentary.
But a chapter-by-chapter re-telling — grounded in devotion, simplicity, and grace.
What began as a deeply personal rewriting soon revealed its deeper purpose. It wasn’t just this one text — it was a larger hunger.
So many of us are searching.
So many want to turn to ancient wisdom — but don’t know where to begin.
And when we try, we’re met with translations too scholarly to feel, or too watered down to trust.
That’s how Ardaas.Life was born.
A spiritual publishing platform built to honour India’s most sacred texts — and make them accessible without reducing their soul.
Our mission is simple:
Ancient texts. Modern clarity. Spiritual depth.
A Modern Seeker’s Mahāshivpurāṇ is our first offering. It won’t be the last. Because the yearning is real. And so is the grace that meets it.
